Medieval Documentary Cultures
Series Editors
Laura L. Gathagan (Associate Professor of History, State University of New York College at Cortland)
Charles Insley (Senior Lecturer in Medieval History, University of Manchester)
This series provides a home for investigations into all aspects of documentary culture in the Middle Ages, both secular and ecclesiastical; documents are here understood in their widest possible form, as manuscripts, books, and other material sources, including but not limited to cartularies, charters, letters, and seals. Its aim is to engage and embrace multiple and intersecting fields of study, among them the commissioning, production and dissemination of documents, material culture, gender, lay and monastic literacy, and the creation of memory. Both monographs and strongly-focussed essay collections are welcomed.
Proposals/preliminary enquiries may be sent to the editors and/or publisher at the addresses below.
