Dr Cordelia Warr is Senior Lecturer in Art History at the University of Manchester. She works on Italian art of the Middle Ages and Renaissance and is particularly interested in clothing, its representation, and its problematic relationship with the spiritual realm. Monica L. Wright is the Willis Granger and Tom Debaillon Professor of French and Medieval Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is interested in the representation of clothing and textiles in medieval texts, especially of those composed in French in the twelfth century, and in the relationship between sartorial signifiers and narrative structure.
