Music in Britain, 1600-2000

This series provides a forum for the best new work in this area; it takes a deliberately inclusive approach, covering immigrants and emigrants as well as native musicians. Contributions on all aspects of British music studies from the early seventeenth to the twenty-first centuries are welcomed, particularly those placing music in its social, cultural, and historical contexts, and addressing Britain’s musical links with Europe and the rest of the globe.
