Hispanic & Lusophone Studies - Tamesis

Explore the cultures, literatures, films, histories and societies of the Hispanic and Lusophone worlds.

Founded in 1963, our Tamesis imprint originally focused on the Spanish and Portuguese Golden Age. In recent years, our publishing has expanded to include the most exciting research on contemporary Latin America.

We continue to support academic enquiry into new and emerging fields. In 2021, we launched the series Tamesis Studies in Popular and Digital Cultures and Violence in the Hispanic and Lusophone Worlds.
