Founded in 1979 by professors of German James N. Hardin and Gunther J. Holst, our Camden House imprint publishes on all aspects of German Studies.

Our list includes long-running collaborations with the Goethe Society of North America (The Goethe Yearbook), the International Brecht Society (The Brecht Yearbook) and the German Jewish Studies Workshop (Nexus). It also includes book series on German history, German film, German Jewish studies, women and gender studies, and culture and power.
