European Studies in North American Literature and Culture

European Studies in North American Literature and Culture, founded in 1996 under the editorship of Reingard M. Nischik and continuing from 2022 under the leadership of Sascha Pöhlmann, is a Camden House series presenting European perspectives on the literatures and cultures of the United States and Canada. Open to any genre and period, the series encourages a broad variety of theoretical and methodical approaches to literature within the larger frameworks of cultural studies and media studies. It is also interested in intersections between disciplines. The scope ranges from single-author studies to thematic volumes and (trans)national literary histories. The envisioned audience of these intellectually rigorous yet reader-friendly and accessible books is made up of scholars and students in literary and cultural studies as well as the informed general reader. We invite proposals for monographs and edited volumes.

Camden House offers close editorial contact, fast processing of your proposal, cover design and copyediting done by professional human beings, quality print- and e-books, and a strong worldwide distribution and marketing network focusing on North America and Europe. Full manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process.
