African Issues

African Issues is a ground-breaking series that has opened up debate on many of the critical issues facing the continent. This succinct and accessible series provides responses to current issues in African politics, economics and development, discusses the important debates relating to African Studies today, and seeks to suggest answers as well as analyse problems. Based on primary research and fieldwork, the authors use local or regional realities to highlight and enlighten continent-wide issues and the complexities of development in practice on the ground. Informative, provocative and timely, their engaging and readable style is designed to appeal to a wide audience, from international policy-makers and development practitioners to academics and students, as well as those with a general interest in the African continent.
